Hi, I’m Dawn! After leaving a career in marketing, I have spent the past 19 years in higher education, both as a student and professor. I have earned four degrees, including a PhD in Applied Experimental Psychology. I am part of a small niche of people who conduct research on voir dire processes (sometimes referred to as jury science). In the past few years, I have been acting as a private consult for students seeking Master’s or Doctoral degrees by assisting them with their theses and dissertations. What does any of this have to do with food and drink? Absolutely nothing! I find writing about my experiences and sharing them with others to be a great retreat from “real” work. Basically, I’m just a gal who likes tasty food…from a classic greasy spoon to the finest 5-star cuisine and everything in-between. When not dining out, I enjoy spending time in my own kitchen creating and cooking. I rarely follow a recipe. Instead, I prefer to use my experiences with food, both locally and while traveling, to emulate dishes from many different cultures. I am also a passionate purveyor of craft brews and the occasional cocktail or glass of wine. I truly enjoy sharing my foodie boozy adventures and hope you will join the ride! Hold on!
