Pinthouse Pizza Round Rock Grand Opening

Hear ye, hear ye! The super anticipated, long awaited, 3rd Austin area location Pinthouse Pizza Round Rock GRAND OPENING par-tay is on Saturday, February 23rd with festivities starting at 11AM! They’ll be featuring ~20 of their own brews on tap, as well as some guests. Full food menu will be available and cool Pinthouse swag will be given throughout the day.

The same day of the Pinthouse Pizza Round Rock grand opening will also be the date of their second can release starting at 9AM: 4-pack 16oz Electric Jellyfish IPA for $18; one case per person limit out of the brewery. [See below for recap of first can release.]

Pinthouse Pizza Round Rock
Biggest location yet!

Pinthouse’s first location on Burnet Road opened in the fall of 2012 by six guys with a penchant for good food and brew. With an emphasis on making everything in-house and by hand, they created tasty artisanal pies (and some other goodies) that quickly caught the attention of Austin foodies. I mean, check out these pies! The best ingredients available and perfect crust!

Very early on, a few might have thought “a great pizza joint that just happens to do craft beer” (er…umm…); however, suds loving people like myself swiftly realized that was not the case. The dudes were just as passionate about making stellar hop-centric (and great seasonal stouts as well), if not maybe a tad more (speculation) as their perfected menu items. And so, an Austin legend began.

Where the magic happens

In fact, Pinthouse became so popular in about three years their second location on South Lamar opened to meet high demand. Fast forward to early 2019 and they have now built the massive Austin suburb location featured here. The space is their largest yet, but still has the casual nautically-themed pub feel as the other two.

Pinthouse Round Rock houses a state-of-the-art brewing facility within. The open concept brewpub is wisely designed, utilizing the ample space by offering private seating, large communal tables, seats at the beer bar of course, and even some barrels if there is standing room only.

The Pinthouse Pizza Round Rock location gives them the capability of producing larger quantities of beer. Austin brewheads were very pleased to be able to get growlers filled to take home beginning in 2012, even more elated when Pinthouse started selling crowlers in 2017 so we could share with folks across the nation (it’s a beer geek thing), and now they are canning proper 4 packs that can be purchased [only] at the Round Rock location. Note: their brews can be found on various guest taps around the Austin area. To locate, search here.

I was fortunate enough to hit up Pinthouse Pizza Round Rock for their very first can release and a sneak peak of the facilities on January 26, 2019. Here are some pictures from the event. Of course I had to get a case to share with my friends. 🙂 We all share in the beermunity.
