Celestial Beerworks: Bringing the Juice to Big D

Celestial Beerworks: Bringing the Juice to Big D

Celestial Beerworks new to Big D! They officially opened their doors on October 31, 2018 and hit Dallas with a huge bang! Luckily, I was able to visit the brewing that same weekend and my first response was ‘WOW!” Then, after a return visit, my response is now “WOWZA!”

With their focus “on hop-forward, approachable, complex brews,” they admittedly “have a borderline unhealthy obsession with hops.” I don’t know if I agree with the “unhealthy” obsession; however, I would agree their evident love for a variety of humulus lupulus is certainly evident in the brews they meticulously produce. So, yes, I was an instant fan!

Try a “Mission Flight”

Dallas has many fine craft breweries, but IMHO Celestial Beerworks is at the top of the list when it comes to the super popular, easily drinkable East Coast/New England-style, hazy, fruity, juice bomb diggity brew game. Aaaand, I would put them up against a taste test with any of the big boys in that region (you know who they are)…albeit beer nerds tend to spread and share the wealth rather than compete. It is really all just about good people and good beer in the hophead culture. They also hit the mark with their limited other choices, such as a delightful French Saison. I really don’t think you can go wrong at Celestial.

Brews of the moment during visit.
Welcome new brewery and taproom Celestial Beerworks to the Dallas craft beer scene and relish in their splendid NE-style hazy and juicy brews. HOP right in now!
Delightful collaboration with Turning Point [Bedford, TX] Oak Cliff Brewing Co – CEREBUS

Located in the up and coming Medical District, Celestial’s “outer-spacey” beautifully built interior is part industrial, very artsy, and certainly inviting. The tasting room is a large, yet cozy feeling space. The adjacent D.O.G. friendly (leashes please) outdoor area has lots of seating and some additional self-entertainment including cornhole. And, if you need more incentive the staff if stellar – see what I did there? 😉 It’s also not uncommon for the husband and wife owners team Matt and Molly to be in the room chatting with patrons. So nice. So so nice.

Love the overall vibe. Space theme expands into the brews names too. 🙂
Some of the interesting art.
Additional taproom seating area; interactive with brew tanks in full sight.
Out back.

So, if you’re in Dallas, be sure to add this on your “to do list.” Chill for a while and have a pint or flight, play some board games, take in the sights. Also, package is available to go from brewery only: 4-packs or 32 oz crowlers. Merch available to purchase on-site. Four thumbs up! Cheers to the shared love of great beers! Let me know what you think?
