Iron Cactus: Delicioso Sunday Brunch Buffet

Iron Cactus: Delicioso Sunday Brunch Buffet

Disclosure: I attended a complimentary banquet-style brunch at Iron Cactus – Austin. All opinions are my own.

If you’ve live in Austin and like margaritas, table-side guacamole, and a great view of historic 6th Street, odds are you have been to Iron Cactus Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar. But do you know about their amazing Sunday Brunch spread? Far from just the standard fare, Iron Cactus stretches the limits of available options without stretching your wallet. Definitely one of the best deals in town (especially downtown) and some delicious bites to boot.

Their AYCE brunch buffet is offered every Sunday from 10am-3pm (see pricing above), and can be enjoyed in the main dining area, mezzanine level, or large rooftop patio.

The spread includes some Tex-Mex options (of course, it has to!) like juicy chicken fajitas with all of the fixings, ooey gooey goodness cheese enchiladas, pork tamales, and refined huevos rancheros.

There are also some breakfast items with a twist like fluffy buttermilk biscuits with creamy jalapeno gravy and a flavorful Mexican casserole with eggs, tortillas, and chorizo. Haven’t found anything to convince you to visit yet? How about some perfectly executed pecan crusted fish, or some freshly carved pork tenderloin or New York strip roll? Maybe you’re more “traditional.” Load your plate with tons of fluffy scramble, crispy bacon, yummy sausage, and some potato hash; indulge in some tasty little waffles with several fun toppings to choose from; or even order a build-your-own omelette at the station. There truly is something for everyone.

If you prefer a traditional breakfast plate…stack it up!

You might get thirsty with all that food. Iron Cactus has you covered there too. Sunday mimosa special is $5.50 for the first one and $1 each up to an additional three (chose of OJ, grapefruit, or cranberry). And, you can certainly get your margarita fix on with over 120 tequilas to choose from, all made with fresh fruit juice. Salut!

If you happen to see GM, and sometimes Chef, Randy Strickland please say hello and tell him Dawn sent you. 😉
