Buffalo Cauliflower Nuggets

Buffalo Cauliflower Nuggets

Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Nuggets anyone? I’ve seen these on the gram over the past few weeks & got inspired. I glanced at a few recipes a couple of days ago & here’s my off the top of my head version. I have to say I could gobble a huge platter of these “nuggets.” No, they don’t taste like chicken, but another way to use cauliflower is a win in my book. Have you tried?

My recipe[ish]:
●Remove florets from head; try to keep same size. ●Heat oven to 450°, line a sheet pan with foil or parchment, spray heavily will non-stick. ●Make a slurry combining 1/3 plus 1/3 of 1/3 cup milk (I know!😂), 1/3 cup packed flour, heavy dashes of paprika (~2 tsp), shakes garlic powder (~1 tsp), and S&P. ●Pour into gallon bag, add florets, gently shake until all is completely coated. ●Place florets on prepared pan; be sure to leave room between. ●Bake for 20 minutes. ●Combine melted butter (1 tbsp) & glugs of @franksredhot (~2 tbsp); set aside. ●After 20 minutes remove tray from oven & brush each floret with sauce. ●Return to oven & bake additional 7 minutes or so – careful not to burn, but long enough for florets to recrisp. ●Serve with ranch or blue cheese; celery & carrots if you have them. ♤Steep stems & base to make a simple, yummy cauliflower puree (in stories). #wastenotwantnot
