Texas Street Grill: Grand Re-Opening

Texas Street Grill: Grand Re-Opening

Disclosure: I got a sneak peek and received complimentary food and drink from Texas Street Grill: Grand Re-Opening. All opinions are my own.

Texas Street Grill Restaurant, lounge, and patio (formerly 827Ray’s), has had a makeover. The official grand opening party is on July 17, 2019 from 6-9pm. I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek.

The main restaurant now has an upscale-casual vibe. Along with the brand new look, the menu has been revamped as well. The eatery has been blended with the original Texas Street Grill Pavilion, making it one.

The lounge now has communal seating, a comfy sofa section, and barstools to create a very inviting “let’s hang out for a while” feel. The dining room, with shades of muted blues and grays is modern meets rustic, and the partially open kitchen with wood burning oven flows very well. The adjacent patio is still charming. And, the pavilion is still serving up great burgers, fries, local craft beers, and has live music on select nights in an open air setting with a playground within eye’s reach (very family friendly).

Still under the realm of proprietor and Chef Wayne Brooks et al, Texas Street Grill has a desired ambiance for everyone and food that aims to please all ages. Texas Tapas have been added to the menu, including yummy Fresno Stuffed Chilies, Texas Oranges and Roasted Beets and more (3-6$*).

They have also brought back a meat and cheese board. Yay for charcuterie and cheese!

There are several apps, salads, and soups to choose from, including their very popular Baked Goat Cheese and the addition of other items such as to die for Chicken Fried Quail and fresh Tuna Tartare.

They still have a respectable raw bar and offer four phenomenal steak choices, including a monster 38 oz Texas Tomahawk Ribeye (90$) that is on my “try to” list! Other entrees include their signature Pork Oso Bucco and new items such as a vegetarian option; Pan Seared Trumpet Mushrooms with zucchini ribbons, sweet potatoes, and black bean puree and more.

A look at Texas Street Grill Pavilion:

A great open, outdoor space with covered seating. Good eats, great beers and drinks, a playscape for the kiddos, and a live music stage.
